Leicester hope to sign Conor Coady on a £4.5m deal despite having an initial offer rejected... while the Foxes are also eyeing up a move for Man City stopper Zack Steffen

Leicester City hope to sign defender Conor Coady from Wolves despite an initial offer being rejected.

The fee could reach around £4.5million for the 30-year-old who spent last season on loan at Everton and had interest from Nottingham Forest.

The former Wolves skipper left Goodison Park at the end of his season-long stay after the Toffees failed to take up their £4.5m option to by the centre back.

Coady made 25 appearances for Everton, scoring two goals, and excelled in their 1-0 win over Bournemouth on the final day, when they avoided relegation.
